When Acupuncture is the Right Fit
Acupuncture may be a helpful option when pain, muscle tension or recurring headaches are affecting your movement, comfort or daily activities.
IT’S ESPECIALLY EFFECTIVE WHEN:
You are managing ongoing back, neck or joint pain
Muscle tension or stiffness is limiting comfortable movement
Headaches or migraines are interfering with your routine
You want a non-drug option to complement your current care
You are looking for an individualized approach focused on symptom relief and improved function
Acupuncture uses precise sensory stimulation that may influence nervous system activity and how the body processes pain. The needles are extremely fine, and most people feel only a brief pinch or pressure as they are placed.
Points may be selected near the problem area or elsewhere on the body, depending on your symptoms, health history and goals. This allows each session to be thoughtfully adapted instead of following the same formula for everyone.
Acupuncture can be used on its own or alongside physiotherapy, exercise and other medical care. The practical goal is to reduce symptoms so movement, sleep, work and everyday activities feel more manageable.

What to Expect During Your Visit

First, We Listen
Your visit begins with a conversation about your symptoms, health history, medications, previous treatments and goals. We screen for precautions, explain your options and answer your questions. Treatment begins only when you feel informed, comfortable and ready to proceed.

Then, You Settle In
Sterile, single-use needles are gently placed at carefully selected points and usually remain in place for a short period while you rest. You may notice warmth, heaviness, tingling or a mild, dull ache. We monitor your comfort throughout the session, and any needle can be adjusted or removed at any time.

What is Acupuncture?
Targeted care. Whole-body support.
Acupuncture is a therapeutic practice that uses very thin, sterile, single-use needles placed at carefully selected points on the body. The treatment may influence the nervous system and surrounding tissues, helping to manage pain, reduce muscle tension and support more comfortable movement. It is commonly used as part of a broader care plan for concerns such as back and neck pain, headaches and joint discomfort.
At OsteoMed, acupuncture treatments are tailored to your symptoms, health history and personal goals. Your practitioner will assess your needs, explain the treatment and carefully select the most appropriate points for each session. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, individualized experience that supports your mobility, function and overall well-being.

What Conditions Can Acupuncture Help With?
Acupuncture may help manage a range of pain-related and musculoskeletal concerns by easing discomfort, reducing muscle tension and supporting more comfortable movement. Below are some common conditions that may benefit from acupuncture as part of an individualized treatment plan.
